This Privacy Policy explains how ShadoApps ("ShadoApps", "we", "us", or "our") — operated by Shady Ahmed Azzam, trading as ShadoApps, based in Egypt — collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the ShadoApps website (shadoapps.com) and our products and services.
We care about privacy, and we collect as little data as we can. This policy describes exactly what we collect and why.
For the personal data collected directly through our website (such as contact-form messages and waitlist sign-ups), ShadoApps is the data controller.
For purchases, Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record and processes your payment. When you buy a product, you contract with Paddle for payment, and Paddle is the controller for the payment data you provide at checkout. Paddle then shares limited order information with us so we can deliver your product and provide support. Please also read Paddle's Privacy Notice.
We only collect data in the specific situations below.
a. When you contact us (contact form or services request): we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to read and reply to you and to provide the support or service you asked for.
b. When you join a waitlist (for an upcoming tool): we collect your email address. We use it only to notify you when that tool becomes available.
c. When you buy a product: Paddle collects your payment details (we never see or store your card details). Paddle then passes us limited order information — your email address, the product purchased, the transaction amount and currency, and a transaction identifier — so we can deliver your product, send your download link, and handle support or refunds. We keep purchase records as needed for accounting and legal obligations.
d. Server and security logs: like any website, our server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and request times) for security, abuse-prevention, and troubleshooting. These are retained for a limited period.
We do not collect sensitive personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
Many of our tools (for example, browser-based tools and locally-installed applications like Life Hub) run entirely on your own device or in your browser. The data you create with these tools stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. We have no access to it and cannot see, store, or recover it. Each product page describes how that product handles data.
We keep this simple: we currently do not use any advertising cookies, analytics, or third-party tracking on our website. We use only the strictly necessary cookies required for the site and the secure checkout to function (for example, Paddle's checkout may set cookies needed to process your payment).
If in the future we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies (for example, for marketing), we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before enabling them.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run the store, and only as needed:
Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose data where required by law.
Our data is stored on our server infrastructure, and encrypted backups are stored off-site. Some of our providers may process data outside Egypt or your country. Where that happens, we rely on those providers' safeguards for international data transfers.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected:
Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR and Egypt's Data Protection Law), you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@shadoapps.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. For data that Paddle holds as Merchant of Record (such as payment data), you may also contact Paddle directly.
We take security seriously. Measures include: encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site; encryption of off-site backups before they leave our server; strict access controls; and audit logging of administrative actions in a form that avoids storing raw personal data where possible. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data proportionately to its sensitivity.
Our products and services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at support@shadoapps.com.
